Medway Development Company is growing and we’re looking for two new Non-Executive Directors to join us

Date posted 26/01/2026

Medway Development Company (MDC) is entering an exciting next chapter, and we’re now looking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors to support the business as it continues to grow.

MDC has been operating since 2019 and has already delivered 375 high-quality homes. With a strong and expanding pipeline, a further 380 homes are secured for delivery over the next five years, alongside additional schemes currently under review. It’s an ambitious programme, underpinned by a commitment to quality, sustainability and long-term value.

As we move into this next phase, we’re looking for experienced, commercially minded individuals to join our Board and help shape MDC’s future. Our new Non-Executive Directors will play a key role in providing independent insight, strategic guidance and constructive challenge, supporting the executive team while helping to strengthen governance and decision-making as the company continues to scale.

You’ll bring a strategic perspective on development opportunities, market trends and business planning, while offering sound, independent judgement in Board discussions. You’ll also act as a trusted sounding board to the Managing Director and senior leadership team, supporting robust governance, risk management and financial stewardship.

We’re keen to hear from people with senior-level experience in property development, construction or related sectors, with strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of governance and risk. Experience in areas such as investment, planning, construction, ESG or finance would be particularly valuable. Previous Non-Executive Director experience is welcome but not essential - what matters most is strategic thinking, good judgement and the ability to challenge and support in equal measure.

This is a genuine opportunity to influence a growing development company at a strategic level, working alongside an ambitious and engaged leadership team. The roles offer a flexible time commitment and the chance to contribute to an organisation with a strong social purpose, delivering lasting impact for Medway.
